LRPC stands for Low Relaxation Pre-stressed Steel Strand. Pre-stressed Steel Strand when embedded in concrete release some applied stress exponentially. Kataria LRPC wire strands treated by 'stabilizing process' the most advanced and globally followed trend of testing LRPC.
Boasting excellent mechanical characteristics, LRPC strands manufactured by Kataria are of superior quality. They are sturdy and possess weather resistant properties. They are used in pre stressing concrete for construction of highways, bridges, buildings, roads and other various types of structures.
Galvanised LRPC strands are coated with zinc to provide resistance against corrosion led stress. The galvanization weight can be customized as per customer requirements varying from 190-340gm/sq.m
Uniform, smooth, thermoplastic polymer extruded sheathing on Galvanised LRPC provides protection against contaminants, cushioning and resistance from abrasion thereby increasing the durability of the LRPC strand.

DownloadKataria manufactures LRPC strands that undergoes strict quality assurance test and have earned a reputable name in it market owing to its several benefits. Low Relaxation PC strands are widely used in pre-stressed concrete girders for road, river and railway bridges, flyovers, pre-stressed atomic reactor domes, slabs, silos, hangars, aqueducts, high-rise buildings, viaducts and railway sleepers.
These sectors can reap the benefits of the quality LRPC strands. Especially, they are highly advantageous to design and construction engineers owing to their best technology and its low relaxation property.
Strands are packed in reel less coils of 3 MT and they can be conveniently pulled from the center. They are packaged as:
Pack of strands should be placed in the cage in such a way that it indicates the direction of the pull that faces the opening.
Space Considerations:There should be NO SPACE between the pack of strands and the enclosure of the cage before the steel strands are strapped.
Insert spacers to fill up the gaps before cutting banding straps.
Note: Pack should not be expanded extensively in order to avoid entanglement.
Low relaxation strands should be stored, handled and transported under few precautions. They are:
Strands are covered by water soluble oil for protection of strands during storage. Oil can be washed out afterwards by running water.
Dry Conditions:Strands are protected by VCI paper (Rust Preventive) and polyethylene to protect the strand to be stored for long time.
